Spoon Hacks

This page details all the hacks in place on Spoon to get things to work.

Ircd-Hybrid with PAM/SSL

Firstly the code we're using comes from diamond in UL. Secondly, unix_chkpwd in libpam-modules has to be hacked so that uid 516 (irc) can check anyones password.

Lingua::EN::Squeeze

Used dh-make-perl to make a .deb, had to use version 2003.1003 as the latest version had dependancies on perl stuff that was newer than Sarge

RAID5 Array Monitoring

We use a i386 chroot to hold the .rpm which has been passed through alien to make it a .deb and then installed.
